I have no intention to promote chinese culture or let Malaysian chinese write a correct chinese. After posting several photos, I found that I’m very nick-picky, anyway, this blog is just for fun.
资讯中心 – Noble House Seafood Restaurant:Hainanese Char Siew
Let me introduce you this gem hidden in Klang, which was introduced to me by my girlfriend… The first time i heard of Hainanese char siu.. and my benchmark was against Meng Kee Char Siu although it was meant to be from a different planet..who cares..lets start the mouth warming up..
Starting off with a shiong tong yuen choy (“So called spinach with superior soup”).. With lots of pei dan (its something like salted egg…any help?)
Presenting the Hainanese Char Siew that tasted like a fine tasting pork chop that was so succulent that it didnt require much chewing at all.. it was a whole new experience and for once i just gave up trying to identify what were the ingredients and just savoured the whole plate to myself.. well almost to myself..
Cleaning off the meal what a noodle dish that is more chewy then hor fun and its a hokkien term that i just suddenly forgot.. will confirm with my girlfriend later..its either mi hon kuih or …..
Hahaha…its chewy and it was fun polishing off the plate as there was good “wok hei” and the ingredients were plenty with small prawns and lalas..
The meal came to about RM 38 or USD 11 for those who are so keen to know.. and it scores a reputable 8 out of 10 with the char siu/siew that i have not tried before in my life..it was definitely great fun to try out new places in Klang with my girlfriend as i dont speak the local dialect haha…and of course most probably i also wouldnt get slaughtered as well..
